I'm working on restoring some old mahogany doors that have two-by-two doors from bottom to top. I found a supplier for the old glass through rockler, but I'm not sure what kind of putty the original windows were sealed in with. any help would be much apreciated
If this is old school.....
One side will be either trim or the wood itself the window pane abuts to. Then you will have glazier points holding the window pane in, then a good bead (smoothed) of glazing compound.
Trimming the door will be something, it will add character to your door. You can also try the old sanding and polish technique to make it more classic.
