I recently got a quote to have my asphalt driveway sealed. The contractor said that he uses the best available sealer - an oil-based product, that soaks in and essentially rejuvenates the asphalt versus a water-based product that sits in a layer on top and can crack.
For the typical household, what is the best sealer you can apply? I've read several articles, but they mainly talk about Coal-tar and Asphalt type sealers (the main consumer products).
What would the pros use on their own driveways?
Thanks!
