    Ceramic tiles

    Can anyone help me find a simple way to clean glue off the back of ceramic tile?  The tile was glued to sheet rock with a honey colored glue.  I removed the tile from the wall and wish to re-use it.  Any suggestions?

    I just use a bench grinder with a wire wheel attachment. Be sure to wear safety glasses as well as any bystanders.

    You can use a scraper, grinder, Dremmel tool, or wire brush in an electric drill.

    What are the tiles made from? As long as they aren't marble you might be able to soak them in muriatic acid to dissolve the lime in the mortar. Try it first on one so you don't ruin them all.
