Hi, I am a lurker of this community for a long time now. I have a couple of questions for you. What kind of tile adhesive should I use for kitchen and bathroom wall? I want to point out that I don’t want to use mastic, is too messy.
What do you plan on applying to the wall, and what is the wall material?
The type of adhesive you use depends on where you're tiling, what you're tiling on, and how experienced you are at tiling. If you don't want to use mastic then you can use thinset mortars..
Thank you @Natineah! I plan to tile my kitchen and bathroom walls. I don’t have much experience with tiling, that’s why I would choose a tile adhesive. I believe it’s easier to install tiles than mortar. Are there any other options? The surface of the walls is smooth so it shouldn’t be a problem.
It's true. It's easier and besides tile adhesive has additives which make it more sticky and allows more movement. Which more comfortable you are in, go for it then.
@Natineah Thank you very much for your advice! @M3Eater I plan to install subway tiles in the kitchen and I haven’t decided yet which type of tiles to use for the bathroom. The walls are made from cement.

Bathroom walls in wet space (shower/tub) MUST be this set mortar over cement board.
You can use acrylic adhesive in the non wet spaces.
@TMKRemodeling Thank you so much for your advice!
