  • Bathroom sink leaking where the j-bend meets the drain pipe

    Hello,

I'm new to the forum and probably do not have all the right terminology. I replaced the sink popup and when i put everything together there is a leak where the j-bend meets the drain pipe to the wall. The drain pipe has a bevelled/tapered end where it meets the j-bend so i can only think there needs to be some type of rubber washer so deal the area but i have no idea what to use. The two piece meet so precisely with really no room to introduce anything else. is there a rubber/plastic component that goes into the J-bend that rest inside the lip so the seal is formed?

    thanks for any help.
