I've been given a large amount of clear Plexiglass. I want to cut several pieces down to size to cover over a couple basement windows, sort of a clear storm window to keep wind driven rain out. What is the best way to cut the stuff?
Score the plexiglass with a blade (razor knife) 6 or 7 times should do it. Flip the plexi over and place a level or stiff edge (2x4) on the cut line and bend the plexi up while standing on the level or 2x4.
You can also cut it with a paneling blade, if the cut ends look rough you can heat them up and wipe them off to make the edge clear again.
