Last summer I built the Foldaway workshop found in the Family Handyman Storage Solutions magazine from 2005. This project went well with one exception. The foldaway worktop will fold down but a stops just short of folding down all the way. This prevents the outer doors from closing. Since it folds down almost all the way I cannot even get my head down in a position where I can see where the L-brackets are binding. I suspect what is happening is that the front surfaces that the L-brackets are attached to are not perfectly parallel. I could try to shim under one or both brackets but I am trying to avoid an endless trial and error process which will leave me extremely frustrated. Could anyone suggest some kind of short cut or sure fire way to get these L-brackets to fold down all the way? I would really appreciate any ideas or suggestions anyone has.
Thanks a lot, Dan
